What is a Baby Nurse?
A Baby Nurse is an experienced trained infant/newborn specialist who comes into your home
in the first weeks of an infant's life to assist Mother and Father with the day-to-day care of their new baby. A Baby Nurse
educates new parents on caring for their infant, assists in establishing a routine (eating/sleeping/wake schedule) for the
baby and provides lactation consulting to breastfeeding mothers.
Please note that a Baby Nurse is generally not responsible for household duties
unrelated to the new baby or for the care of other children in the household.

A baby nurse specializes in single, twins, triplets, premature, and colic infants.

How much do Baby Nurses cost?
Salary is usually based on two factors: the amount of experience the candidate brings to the
position and the number of infants involved (eg. single, twins, triplets, etc.). Requesting a Baby Nurse through an agency
will cost around $25 for a single baby and $30 for twins. The hourly wage may vary for a self-employed and experienced
Baby Nurse.
